Terms of Use
These terms apply when you browse NameMarket, request a domain purchase, use a payment link, or buy a listed .co.uk or .uk domain through an approved external marketplace link. Last updated: 1 July 2026.
1. Who we are
NameMarket is a UK domain marketplace focused on brandable, short, premium commercial, local, niche and SEO-led .co.uk and .uk domain names. Public buyers do not need an account to request a purchase. Admin accounts are used only to operate the marketplace.
Contact: [email protected].
2. Using the site
- You must use the site lawfully and must not interfere with its security, availability or normal operation.
- You must not submit false contact details, impersonate another person, scrape the marketplace at scale, or misuse purchase forms.
- You are responsible for checking that a domain is suitable for your project before buying it.
- Nothing on NameMarket is legal, financial, tax, trademark, SEO or business advice.
3. Domain listings and information
Domain descriptions, category labels, buyer-fit notes, market-fit scores, SEO metrics, traffic estimates, archive notes, backlink notes and AI-assisted summaries are provided to help buyers evaluate a domain. They are opinions, estimates or third-party signals, not guarantees.
- NameMarket does not guarantee rankings, traffic, revenue, conversion rate, resale value, brand outcome or trademark clearance.
- SEO data may come from third-party providers and can be incomplete, delayed, estimated or wrong.
- You should perform your own due diligence before purchase, including trademark, historic use and registrar checks.
4. Purchase process
- You submit a purchase request with your full name, email address and optional phone number.
- NameMarket contacts you to confirm availability, price, payment method and transfer details.
- Payment may be completed by card payment link, PayPal, approved escrow, approved manual instruction, or an approved external marketplace such as Afternic.
- For .co.uk and .uk domains, transfer is normally completed through a Nominet IPS tag change to your chosen registrar.
- The domain is transferred only after the relevant checkout, processor, escrow or external marketplace confirms payment.
5. Payment processors and external marketplaces
If you pay through PayPal, a card processor, escrow service, Afternic or another external marketplace, that provider's own terms, fees, buyer protection, payment timing, refund rules and dispute process may apply. NameMarket does not control those third-party services.
An external marketplace link is an approved purchase path only when it is shown on the listing page or sent by NameMarket admin for that exact domain.
6. Prices, offers and availability
- Prices are shown in GBP unless clearly stated otherwise.
- A sale price or "on sale" label may be time-limited and can be changed before payment is confirmed.
- A domain remains available until payment is confirmed and transfer is started.
- NameMarket may refuse or cancel a request where the listing is wrong, payment is not confirmed, fraud is suspected, or transfer is not possible.
7. Refunds and failed transfers
- For direct NameMarket purchases, the buyer may cancel within 48 hours of confirmed payment if the domain transfer has not started and the domain has not been transferred.
- For direct NameMarket purchases, if NameMarket cannot transfer the domain after confirmed payment, the buyer will receive a refund through the original or agreed payment route.
- For PayPal, card, escrow or external marketplace purchases, refund timing and fees may depend on the relevant provider.
- Once an IPS tag change, registrar push, ownership transfer or marketplace transfer has started, cancellation may no longer be possible.
- Once the domain has transferred to the buyer or the buyer's registrar, the sale is final and non-refundable.
- Refunds are not provided because a domain later fails to rank, generate traffic, sell again, convert leads, or suit a changed business plan.
- Mandatory consumer rights, if they apply, are not excluded by these terms.
See the full Refund Policy.
8. Buyer responsibility
Before buying, you should check trademark risk, previous website history, category fit, registrar transfer requirements, tax/VAT treatment, SEO suitability and whether the name is appropriate for your intended use. You must not use purchased domains for unlawful activity or activity prohibited by Nominet, your registrar, payment provider or applicable law.
9. Liability
NameMarket aims to keep the site accurate and available, but the site is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NameMarket is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of rankings, loss of traffic, loss of business opportunity, loss caused by third-party services, or buyer decisions made from estimated listing data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Privacy and cookies
Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Cookie and local storage choices are explained in the Cookie Policy.
11. Governing law
Unless mandatory local consumer law gives you additional rights, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to the site or a direct NameMarket transaction.
